MIAM! unveils gaming division

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the independent French animation group MIAM! has announced the launch of MIAM! games, a new division dedicated to developing and producing premium video games. The initiative will focus on creating titles for kids and family audiences based on the company’s established intellectual properties.

To support this launch, the MIAM! team will present their upcoming projects at major industry events throughout the summer of 2026, including GameCamp, MIFA, and Gamescom.

Founded in 2016 by producer Hanna Mouchez, the company has grown through three complementary branches: MIAM! animation for series production, the real-time CGI facility company studio, and its international sales arm, unit distribution. Over the past decade, the group has built a global presence with animated brands such as Edmond and Lucy, The Tinies, and Goat Girl, while establishing a strong reputation for technological innovation and eco-friendly production methods.

This expansion into the gaming sector is a natural progression of MIAM!‘s technological strategy, which heavily relies on real-time 3D software like Unreal and Unity. By utilizing reusable real-time assets and shared production pipelines, the studio can seamlessly extend its animated universes into spin-off series, feature films, and video games, thereby reducing both production costs and environmental impact. Hanna Mouchez, Founder and CEO of MIAM!, noted that this move represents the next logical step in their transmedia strategy, allowing the company to diversify revenues, prolong the lifecycle of its IPs, and offer families new immersive experiences aligned with the studio’s editorial values.

Set to officially launch in 2026, the new label will bring together experienced gaming professionals and the studio’s creative teams to focus on premium, non-violent, and non-competitive ‘cosy games’. MIAM! games is currently developing two original titles: The Tinies: Craft Family, based on the 3D preschool comedy series broadcast on Canal+ and globally, and Edmond and Lucy: Thing’s Journey, adapted from the preschool franchise currently airing on France Télévisions and across 150 territories.

Both flagship titles are slated for release between 2027 and 2028. To pave the way for these major releases, MIAM! games has already produced several interactive WebGL experiences inspired by these franchises. This gaming expansion will run parallel to new audiovisual seasons and theatrical releases planned for the IPs between 2026 and 2028, consolidating MIAM!‘s sustainable creative business model for the future.
