MADD promotes four hit dramas for APAC

MADD Entertainment (Turkey) promotes four new series at ATF, which are already gaining significant ratings in Turkey: Family Secrets on Kanal D, All about Marriage and My New Family on FOX, and The Bad Penny on Show TV. Also for the market, the distributor is pushing its rom-com Love is in the Air, already sold to +85 global markets.

Family Secrets is the hottest series since the beginning of this fall and has grown in audience to become Kanal D‘s top drama in Turkey. This Ay Yapim series broadcast as Yargı reached 10.38% rating in the ninth episode, starring Pınar Deniz (Wounded Love), a tough lawyer willing to bend the rules in the service of justice; Kaan Urgancıoğlu (Endless Love), who plays a serious prosecutor who does everything by the rules. The two mix like oil and water, but when Ilgaz’s brother is charged with murder, it is Ceylin that he turns to for help.

The Bad Penny, leading series on Show TV

The eighth episodes of All About the Marriage, MF Yapim‘s new drama, has reached 6.38% ratings on FOX, where it airs as Evlilik Hakkında Her Şey. The series is about a clan of high-powered divorce lawyers whose clients include billionaires, celebrities, and sometimes even themselves. It features an all-star cast, which includes Gökçe Bahadır (Stiletto Vendetta), Yiğit Kiraz (War of Roses), Sarp Akkaya (Broken Pieces), Sumru Yavrucuk (Nehir), among others.

My New Family, Turkish adaptation from Nippon TV’s OASIS-a love story

Broadcast on the same network, Medyapim’s My New Family debuted at the beginning of November with 4.38% in the 20 + ABC1 segment. A sad and lonely girl starts a new life with a family full of love and happiness. This heartwarming drama is an adaptation of an original series from Japan’s Nippon TV, OASIS – a love story, from the same team behind the international mega-hits Mother (Anne in Turkey) and Woman (Kadın). It stars Bugra Gülsoy (My Little Girl) and Hazal Kaya (Forbidden Love).Lastly, Ay Yapim‘s The Bad Penny, which was released on November 1 on Show TV with 6.92% on 20 + ABC1. In it, a serial killer stalks a Roma neighborhood, and a hardened police captain must team up with a gypsy crime boss to bring the killer to justice. Along the way, the policeman unexpectedly falls in love with the gangster’s sister. This original series combines two opposites in a gripping exploration of law versus justice, with unforgettable performances by two of the main leads, Ekin Koç (Magnificent Century) and Uraz Kaygilaroglu (Ambassador’s Daughter).
