During an intimate dinner with the foreign press in Cannes, held within the framework of the MIPCOM 2026 market, HITN MEDIA announced the official launch of Vida y Salud as a new national and international linear television network available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

In its initial launch phase, the channel will be available through the company’s digital platforms, HITN-Go and VidaySalud.com. A few weeks later, Vida y Salud will make its television debut in Puerto Rico on WIPR‘s channel 6.3, a signal that is also carried by Liberty Cable. With this major step, WIPR formally becomes the new network’s first local affiliate, granting it a potential reach of more than 1.3 million households on the island. The company noted that it will subsequently announce additional affiliate stations in other U.S. markets.
The new network’s programming will focus exclusively on trusted Spanish-language content centered on preventive health, nutrition, physical activity, emotional well-being, and healthy lifestyles, offering practical and relevant information for Hispanic communities.
‘Hispanic families deserve health information and services in their own language that are reliable and practical for their daily lives’, expressed Michael D. Nieves, President and CEO of HITN MEDIA, during the event. ‘For several years, we have advanced Vida y Salud‘s mission through digital platforms, and now, with this new television network, we will be able to bring this guidance to more people. Launching first in Puerto Rico is a vital step in the brand’s broader expansion—from providing information to our audience to connecting them with more resources and services that support their well-being.’
The creation of this linear and digital ecosystem not only broadens the reach of the content but also opens up attractive commercial opportunities for advertisers and sponsors in the health and wellness categories, ranging from pharmaceutical and insurance companies to personal care and nutrition brands. Looking ahead, the brand will integrate new digital health tools, such as a personal health management portal, live consultations with specialists, and the eventual inclusion of telehealth services and medical prescriptions.
Originally founded by Aliza Lifshitz, Vida y Salud was created to strengthen the relationship between Hispanic patients and healthcare professionals. After managing the brand since 2018, HITN MEDIA completed the full acquisition of Vida y Salud in 2026, assuming absolute control of its assets to drive this new era of multiplatform growth and expansion.
