Nadav Palti, President and CEO of Dori Media, explained that the massive international success of the reality format Power Couple was the primary catalyst that moved the company to dedicate itself more fully to the unscripted genre. The global hit cultivated a loyal client base that continually returns to the company seeking new entertainment products. This momentum was further bolstered by the strong performance of formats like The Auction, cementing the company’s reputation for delivering top-tier reality and game shows.
Analyzing the current demands of the international market in Cannes, Palti highlighted a clear trend in what broadcasters and platforms are actively seeking. ‘Today, buyers usually ask for two products in entertainment formats: big prime time formats, and then street game shows that are made with lower budgets’, he explained.
In response to this demand, Dori Media is strategically positioning itself to fulfill both ends of the spectrum, offering high-end, glossy studio productions alongside cost-effective, highly engaging street formats that provide flexibility for programmers.
Beyond its aggressive push into unscripted entertainment, the company is also diversifying its slate with premium factual content. At this year’s market, Dori Media is offering compelling documentaries such as Recipe for Murder and My Hottest Year.
